Cattle are a vital part of our goal towards closing the loop in our operations and increasing the farm’s sustainability. Our cattle graze on land unsuitable for crop production, cycling nutrients into the soil through their manure and helping to maintain dry grasslands that would otherwise be fuel for seasonal bushfires. Regularly moving our cattle allows plants to form deeper root systems making the land more resilient to erosion. To reduce waste, we incorporate banana waste into our cattle’s diet, ensuring a consistent food supply, particularly during dry seasons when paddock feed is typically limited.
