The Inderbitzin family are proud third generation farmers that hail from Switzerland but have found their home in Australia.

In the 1980s, with property prices increasing on the Atherton Tablelands, the Inderbitzin family were forced to seek out farming land in a new location. When they took a drive to Lakeland in 1985 and saw the rich red soil, big blocks and flat plains, they decided then and there this was where they wanted to expand their business. The first farm was purchased with no irrigation and infrastructure in 1985. In the following years the need for access to a sustainable water source became too hard to ignore. This is when the decision was made to purchase another property which had a reliable water source. After years growing everything from broad acre crops to coffee, the idea was raised of establishing the first banana plantation in Lakeland. Since then the business has continued to grow, with the 3rd generation taking over the reins.
